A time-out was performed to confirm correct patient, procedure, and equipment. The patient was positioned supine. Sedation was achieved with *** and ***. Bag-valve-mask ventilation was initiated prior to intubation.
A MAC 3 blade was used to visualize the airway. A Grade 1 view of the vocal cords was obtained. A 7.5 mm endotracheal tube was advanced through the vocal cords under direct visualization. The stylet was removed.
End-tidal CO₂ detection was confirmed by colorimetric change. Bilateral breath sounds were auscultated. The tube was secured at 23 cm at the teeth.
A chest radiograph was ordered to confirm tube position.

Attending physician was present for the entire procedure.
The patient tolerated the procedure well.
